DUTY FREE, VALUE-ADDED MANUFACTURING

Labuan can act as the final assembly station whereby semi-finished products can be stored, processed and exported as finished products to a third country. Bulk-breaking, repacking and relabelling activities can also be undertaken without any duty imposed.

 

REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTRE (RDC)

Under our Government’s policy, qualified company can establish an RDC in Labuan and earn several incentives such as corporate tax exemption for ten years, approval to open a foreign currency account at a domestic bank, etc. Labuan has all the modern facilities for multinationals to operate a successful operation.

 

WAREHOUSING AND STORAGE

Due to the rapid development in the upstream support services for the Oil & Gas sector, warehouses and storage areas have been in high demand. With the planned development of Labuan Integrated Port, the private sector is expected to participate in the provision of container yard, open storage area and large warehouses. These warehouses could also be utilised in the drive for Labuan to become a distribution centre and final assembly area for imported materials.

TOURISM
